Who I am and what I do

International expertise gained as a transport planner and economist in the development and assessment of schemes and projects over a period of more than 30 years. 

Projects covering almost the entire range of modes within the transport sector including roads, railways and public transport, ports and shipping and walking and cycling.  

Consideration of projects on a standalone basis or as linked multimodal schemes and integrated area and sectoral development plans. 

Experience in New Zealand and a wide range of overseas countries including UK, France, Spain, Poland, Ireland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Yemen (PDR), Botswana, South Africa, Mauritius, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, , China, Trinidad, Barbados, Jamaica and Bolivia.

Since returning to New Zealand in 2004, developed a particular expertise in the use of multi-criteria assessment frameworks, developing and applying to local circumstances the frameworks initially introduced as part of the Land Transport Management Act and subsequently amended by agencies such as Land Transport New Zealand and ARTA
